HISTORY 1845 - 1925
Since 1845, we have remained true to our key virtues and for four
generations, we have been combining tradition and innovation in the
bookselling business. Quality and service have a long tradition in our house.
With innovative concepts and systems we will continue our success story.
1845:
The history of VUB Printmedia, rich in tradition, starts in the Silesian town of
Wroclaw. The publisher Eduard Trewendt founds a publishing and retail bookshop and
later on co-oporates with Julius Granier.
1891:
Alfred Preuss Neudorf takes over Trewendt & Granier’s. He builds up a
range of scientific books and aligns his company with the requirements of
Wroclaw' university, economy and authorities.
1925:
The solicitor Friedrich Preuss Neudorf joins the company. The bookshop expands
its range by legal literature.
