1945:
Russian troops conquer Wroclaw. Just before its 100th anniversary,
the bookshop has to cease business operations.
1950:
The bookshop resumes business operations in Cologne under the name
Vereinigte Universitaets- und Fachbuchhandlung (VUB). In addition,
Dr. Friedrich Preuss-Neudorf, a tradesman, joins the family-run company.
1991:
The brothers Dr. Achim and Dr. Christian Preuss-Neudorf join the company and
open branches in Leipzig, Berlin and Dresden. As an independent company,
Trewendt & Granier´s is relocated to Leipzig.
2000:
To focus resources and activities of the companies
Trewendt & Granier´s Buchhandelsgesellschaft Leipzig, Vereinigte Universitaets-
und Fachbuchhandlung Cologne (VUB) and the Gilde-Buchhandlung in Bonn, the VUB Printmedia GmbH is founded.
