When purchasing publishing products you usually can't achieve price advantages. However,
there are potential savings. Maintain business relations with different suppliers, all offering
their own catalogues, ordering processes, invoice formats and methods of payment causes
unnecessary efforts. We offer our customers to concentrate the complete procurement at original
prices under one roof, including the contract management for existing subscriptions.
Ordering processes with numerous separate manual steps are costly.
We implement lean IT-based processes for the procurement of publishing
products. For this purpose, we connect our catalogues to any established e-procurement
systems of our customers, such as SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional (SAP EBP) and
mySAP Supplier Relationship Management (mySAP SRM) via standard
interfaces, e.g. Open Catalog Interface (OCI). We can also implement our
own procurement system VUX ®.
The lean processes of the VUB system help to reduce costs as our
clients realise their potential savings. Role-specific
controlling and reporting functions provide additional
information value. The "Order Manager", for example, provides information
on the status of deliveries and invoices, and the "Inventory Manager"
keeps customers informed about their current literature stock
and existing or terminated subscriptions. The "Budget Manager"
simplifies the budget control for accounting and controlling
staff.
