The market for media products is diverse and exceptional.
German-speaking publishing houses alone stock 1.2
million titles. Adding to this, there are millions of
foreign-language books and innumerable bibliographies,
CD-ROM databases, DVDs, specialist books, specialist literature,
specialist media, continuations, grey literature, loose-leaf
books, loose-leaf editions, online documents,
newspapers and magazines. All these publishing products are
unique and cannot be replaced by one another without loosing
information.
There is no other purchasing area that offers a similar multitude
of products. At the same time, due to the German net book agreement,
booksellers can only set apart from their competitors by the service
they offer. Due to the information it contains, every publishing product
is an economic factor for companies – provided that it can be found in the
catalogue and is delivered immediately. The former depends on the quality
of the search engine as well as on the question if the catalogue is complete and
up-to-date. The latter depends on the performance of the supplier.
We dispose of both:
fully-developed, daily updated catalogues with millions of international
titles and an infrastructure guaranteeing that 80 per cent of the publishing products
will arrive at the customer by the next day.
During the last years, we consistently developed our company into a provider
of concepts and systems for the electronic procurement and management
of information media for companies and public institutions. However, we
are still running our traditional book stores in Cologne and Bonn. Our
company developed out of the publishing bookshop Trewendt and Granier`s that was
founded in Wroclaw in 1845. We have been in that sector for generations and
know our business inside out.
